For my first elective of year two, Creature Design, I had to create my own creature. Before modelling, I had to consider several facets, such as diet, environment, body, and behaviour. The environment is probably the most important part of creating my creature since it will determine how the creature or animal will look. It makes its own characteristics because of its environment. After that, an exciting idea came to mind after watching Altered Carbon on Netflix. In the show, people live in the so-called layers of society, which means that the ultimate wealthy live in buildings up to several kilometres in the sky, even in space. In contrast, the very poor live on the bottom layer, where there's starvation, dead people and a lot of deceases. The environment for the elective is the very bottom layer, where the gas of neon lights pollutes the air and, therefore, creates new species of fungi.
